To help ICT students to prepare better for HKDSE

 

Areas of concern

Major Concern 1: To put in place a system and cultivate habits conducive to the advancement of acedemic performance

Title

To arrange and subsidy students to attend external mock examination to prepare S6 ICT students for DSE

Target

S6 ICT students can obtain good experience to go through a mock examination with several thousands of students which can boost their performance in a real DSE examination

Strategy

S6 ICT students take part in mock ICT examination on January 2018 held by HKACE. St. Louis School teachers will help to mark their scripts so that their weakness can be identified. The approximate grade can be estimated to give students how much effect required for the real DSE examination.

 

Major Concern 2

Title

To represent school to participate FLL Robotics Competition and other Robotic Competition

Target

Through the competition process to build up the sense of belonging to Alma Mater and team spirit

Strategy

1. The basis of FLL is a robotics tournament in a cheerful atmosphere, where kids and youngsters need to solve a tricky "mission" with the help of a robot. The kids are researching a given topic within a team, they are planning programming and testing an autonomous robot to solve the mission. The FLL Teams take the oppotunity to experience all steps of a real product development process: solving a problem under time pressure with insufficient resources and unknown competitors.
2. International Robotic Competition held at Japan in September 8-11. 4 students accompanied by 1 teacher to take part in the event.
